Is this for you?

You have a promotion conversation coming, named or implied. You want an honest read on what is holding it up before you spend three months on it.

You're not ready to commit to a full engagement yet. That's fine. This is built for exactly that.

Before you start

Once you're in, you'll get a short request before Session 1. That way the session goes straight to the work.

Bring whatever your company uses to describe what the next level needs. That could be a level guide, a competency matrix, or promotion criteria. If nothing formal exists, write down what your manager has actually told you.

What you'll get

Two 1-on-1 sessions over four weeks, with your own work in between.

01

Session 1: Set the target

  • Get clear on what the promotion is really about and who decides it.
  • Pin down the real bar for the level you want. We use your company's level guide if there is one, and what you've been told if there isn't.
  • Walk through the twelve FORGE mechanisms together, and find the ones that matter most for this promotion.
02

Between sessions: Your own read

  • Rate yourself on all twelve mechanisms. Each one has prompts that ask for evidence. You focus most on the ones Session 1 marked as decisive.
  • Predict what two of your direct reports or peers would say about you. This stands in for their feedback when you can't get it yet.
03

Session 2: Your profile and your case

  • Read your profile against the real requirements from Session 1, not a generic score.
  • Name the two mechanisms that actually decide the promotion.
  • Build your promotion case in your own words, tied to what is being judged.
Plus

Something you keep

A written profile and a written case for your promotion, yours to keep after the four weeks.

If you want to keep going

If you move into a full coaching engagement within 30 days, what you paid for this is credited toward it.
